Objective: Improve off-loading

group size: 

 5m x 5m grid

drill set-up:
 Same as Passing activity. Five players on one cone facing other 5 on opposite cone. Coaches or extra players are on spare cones facing each other.

Drill explanation:

  1. First player runs out with a ball and receives another ball from ‘coach’ and passes one-handed to other ‘coach’ as they run through and join the back of opposite line. Next player goes from this end and so on.

Variations / progression:

  1. Increase the intensity

  2. Make grid bigger

  3. Passing 3 – add someone piggybacking on ball-carrier.
